Finding a DofE Centre
The first thing to do is see if your school, college or workplace runs the DofE. Alternatively, if you are involved in a youth group (scouts, guides etc.) you should be able to do the DofE through the group's organisers. Click here for a full list of schools and groups that run the DofE in Brighton and Hove.
If you don't belong to an organisation that runs the DofE, or would prefer to do it outside of this, you can still participate by making use of the three DofE Open Centres in Brighton & Hove. Alternatively you can get most the information you need from this website and register directly for the DofE by contacting us.
To do the DofE, you need an entrance pack (available at a cost of £12.50 for Bronze and Silver, or £18.00 for Gold). Cheques should be made payable to Brighton & Hove City Council.
Included in this fee is:· a record book (either Bronze, Silver or Gold)
· limited personal accident insurance cover while you're doing the Award
· free literature
· the badge and certificate you gain upon completion of the DofE.
